Job Context

Ambala Foundation is a non-profitable, foreign grant-free, completely self-reliant organization established in 1994. The organization is registered with the Ministry of Social Services (Registration No.: CH-03066), NGO Affairs Bureau (Registration No.: 952) and has been conducting microfinance service activities with great efficiency by obtaining a certificate from M, R, A (Certificate No.: 00350-01308-00086). The organization is currently successfully conducting microfinance activities through 241 branches in 21 districts. The organization is a partner of PKSF. It is also in partnership with various banks and financial institutions.To achieve the organizational goal a dedicated and energetic Team Lead needed at Legal team to strength and achieve success of organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Compliance with Financial Institution Act, Companies Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Bangladesh Bank Circulars and other related rules and regulations of the regulators.

  • Preparing and/or checking agreements, charge & security documents such as ‘deed of mortgage’, ‘irrevocable general power of attorney’, ‘deed of redemption of mortgage’, ‘documents related to creation of charges with RJSC’, etc.

  • Handle and actively monitor all ongoing legal disputes including civil, criminal, and arbitration matters, all legal documents are legally sound, properly formatted, and archived systematically.

  • Monitoring case management, monthly lawsuit report and liaison with panel lawyers, preserve all information, data and documents of the case .

  • Assisting the lawyer contracted with the organization in various tasks related to the organization`s case management, provide reports (daily, weekly, monthly and others) on the progress of the case.

  • To inform the concerned branch and reporting boss & authorities about all matters related to the case with updated information.

  • Keep communication and maintain liaison with different Govt office such as RAJUK, local Land office, Ministry of Land etc. Drafting petition, Filing cases/Suits as per Artharin Adalat Ain & NI ACT. Sound knowledge of Labor Law, Contract Law, and Industrial Relation.

  • Maintain a central database of legal documents for easy retrieval. Track contract renewal dates, expiration, and compliance milestone. Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date legal case tracker including hearing dates, deadlines, and next actions.

  • Gather evidence, prepare case files, and coordinate court or arbitration schedules. Serve as a contact point between the company and external, regulators, and stakeholders.

  • Verify ownership documents, title deeds, and encumbrance certificates before purchases or sales. Assist in property registration, mortgage documentation, and tax clearance

  • Attend court hearings, arbitration sessions, and government inquiries as required. Advise management on potential legal risks and implications related to land and property matters

  • Provide legal advice on contracts, compliance, company policy, and risk issues. Handle government-related work, including license renewals, registrations, permissions, and liaising with regulatory bodies and public offices.

  • Responsible for handle Company’s all kinds’ legal issues.
