Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Generate and issue instructions to the factory shop floor, and facilitate execution by allocating appropriate resources.
∎ Prepare, cascade, and execute production plans; adjust operational activities based on situational assessments and available resources (manpower, materials, and machinery) to ensure optimum production performance and target achievement.
∎ Plan, coordinate, and follow up on maintenance, changeovers, and shutdown activities.
∎ Control production costs through efficient management of available resources while ensuring product quality and the safety of people and assets.
∎ Independently manage all shift activities.
∎ Define and maintain adherence to line and labor standards.
∎ Ensure product and process compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
∎ Promote workplace safety and ensure effective communication regarding Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) to all team members.
∎ Measure, analyze, and control line performance and labor variance using available systems and tools.
∎ Measure, analyze, and control material usage variance (raw materials, packaging materials, and energy).
∎ Prepare daily and monthly reports on all operational aspects.
∎ Review process failures and lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, evaluating proposals, and implementing solutions.
∎ Coordinate with other departments for production-related activities such as product trials and launches of new products.
