Position Overview: The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales operations within a specific area, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, and expanding market presence. This role involves implementing sales strategies, leading a team of sales representatives, and fostering strong relationships with clients and distributors. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in FMCG sales, excellent leadership skills, and a solid understanding of market dynamics.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies to achieve targets and drive revenue growth. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor research.
Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and support a team of sales representatives. Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations to enhance productivity and team performance.
Client & Distributor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers. Address client needs, resolve issues, and negotiate agreements to secure and grow long-term partnerships.
Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market conditions, consumer trends, and competitor activities within the area. Utilize data to adjust sales strategies and product offerings.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance forecasts to senior management. Track key performance metrics and align with company objectives.
Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies and alignment with company goals.
Budget Management: Manage the sales budget for the area, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
