Responsibilities & Context:
Monitoring daily activities and performance of sales representatives
Onboarding new hires, teach effective sales methods, and motivate staff to hit quotas
Creating work schedules to ensure proper floor or phone coverage during peak hours
Tracking employee performance and run periodic reviews
Working to continually meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
Overseeing the sales pipeline from lead generation to final closure
Studying market trends, track competitor actions, and forecast customer demand
Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports for senior management
Building strong, long-term relationships with key customers and corporate accounts
Stepping in to handle escalated customer complaints or difficult requests
Connecting customers, frontline staff, and upper management
Running daily operations and lead meetings in the absence of the primary sales manager
