Job Context:
∎ HELVETAS, in partnership with ACTED, is launching an emergency operation to respond to the Rohingya Refugee Crisis and is working in particular the sector of Site Management (CCCM) in the Camps of the Kutupalong-Balukhali Expansion Site, Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Line Management: The AME Assistant will report to and operate under the guidance of the AME Officer.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support implementation of the DRR project's monitoring, evaluation & reporting plan.
∎ Contribute to the effective functioning of the DRR project by identifying areas of work that need to be improved.
∎ Assist in developing appropriate data collection and analysis instruments, methodologies (e.g., survey questionnaires, focus group discussions, key-informant interviews, monitoring checklist), and data/information dissemination/utilization plans.
∎ Conduct data collection activities and ensure that data collection teams are organized and resourced as needed.
∎ Conduct monitoring during cash distribution at distribution points, including beneficiary interviews during cash distribution.
∎ Post distribution monitoring visits at household beneficiaries' level, collecting data on outcome indicators and beneficiary satisfaction.
∎ On-site monitoring of schemes.
∎ Establish a mobile complaint and feedback mechanism to collect complaints and feedback and respond to the beneficiary.
∎ Work with Site Management Support (SMS) Complaint and Feedback Mechanism staff to ensure complaint and feedback mechanisms are established and functional at targeted communities.
∎ Ensure that the complaint database log is appropriately documented and severe issues are promptly reported to the proper channel.
∎ Monitor different field level activities with checklists.
∎ Ensure timely and adequate reporting on all monitoring observations.
∎ In the absence of a dedicated database team, maintain electronic and paper-based Management Information System (MIS) to track and report all quantitative data.
∎ Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to supervisors and other team members.
∎ Provide and deliver relevant photos of AME activities.
∎ Participate in AME-related conferences and workshops when possible and stay updated with best practices and new knowledge created in AME.
∎ Assist in strengthening the quality of accountability.
∎ Perform any other related activities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
∎ Ensure compliance with ACTED internal procedures and donor procedures.

Additional Requirements:
∎ The main criteria used in the selection of the AME Assistant are the following:
∎ Working fluency in English and Bangla (spoken and written) - Chittagong dialect is a must.
∎ Good communication skills.
∎ Minimum 1 year working experience in a similar position - preferably within NGOs.
∎ Technical training qualification desired - Basic M&E skills.
∎ Previous experience in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects: Damage assessments, design, distribution, activity monitoring, post distribution monitoring, complaint, and feedback mechanism.
∎ Previous experience in team management.
∎ Experience in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
∎ Experience in data collection and analysis.
∎ Should know humanitarian principles and attitude to work in Refugee Camps.

Salary:
∎ Salaries will be based on qualifications and experience with a range of 50,000 to 55,000 BDT per month.
