Education:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
No 3rd Class /Division or CGPA below 2.25 (as per BA policy) will not be accepted at any stage of the academic career.
ITIL Foundation/Intermediate (preferred); vendor certifications on core/digital banking platforms or monitoring tools are an advantage
Application Operations & Support:
Day-to-day management and operational support of banking applications, including in-house developed solutions and vendor-provided platforms, across production and non-production environments.
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of critical systems.
Provide 24×7 operational support/monitoring for critical digital applications, including on-call/roster coverage, major incident (P1/P2) coordination, and timely stakeholder communications.
Manage incident resolution, problem management, and application performance monitoring.
Ensure timely resolution of production issues and minimize service disruptions.
Participate in and coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and BCP activities (DR planning support, failover/failback readiness, validation, and post-drill reporting/lessons learned).
Maintain integration configurations and documentation (routing, transformation, security) and support key interfaces/APIs.
Prepare and maintain operational documentation (runbooks, SOPs) and support release readiness and post-release stabilization.
Monitor application and integration performance; identify bottlenecks and implement fixes/improvements.
Ensure compliance, provide L1/L2 support, and drive continuous improvement of tools and processes.
Application Lifecycle Management:
Manage the full lifecycle of applications including implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement.
Oversee application releases, patches, and system updates.
Ensure applications remain aligned with evolving business requirements and technology standards.
Banking Application Portfolio Management:
Oversee key banking systems such as:
Core banking applications
Loan management systems
Account opening platforms
Corporate and retail digital banking systems
Back-office banking applications
Ensure integration and interoperability across all application platforms.
Application Development & Enhancement:
Coordinate development and enhancement initiatives for banking applications.
Work with internal development teams and external vendors for solution delivery.
Ensure adherence to software development standards, coding practices, and architecture guidelines.
Vendor & Partner Coordination:
Manage vendors/partners for application delivery and support.
Monitor vendor performance, manage SLAs, and ensure timely fixes, upgrades, and enhancements.
Escalate and drive closure of vendor issues (RCA, corrective actions) within agreed timelines.
Support vendor selection and contract governance processes.
Technology Governance & Compliance:
Ensure applications comply with internal technology policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external technology audits.
Maintain proper documentation of application architecture, configuration, and operational procedures.
Collaboration with Business Units:
Engage with business stakeholders to understand system requirements and operational challenges.
Ensure application solutions effectively support banking products, services, and operational processes.
Facilitate prioritization of system enhancements based on business needs.
