Job Responsibilities:
∎ Development & Sourcing part:
∎ Identifying and developing new fabric.
∎ Work with different mill to develop their capabilities into new qualities.
∎ Driving the development to ensure best option in terms of quality, price and lead-time.
∎ Different way of sourcing & source specific quality against original quality .
∎ Analyzing the market, bringing new quality fabric and promoting our own source fabric to different customer finally converting business into FOB deal.
∎ Source innovative and new trend fabric for upcoming season.
∎ In pre-order stage, support the development Merchandiser for selecting the best option.
∎ Continuously working on sustainable fabric development and providing technical support to the mill.
∎ Work with account managers and discussing about fabric price target and work accordingly.
∎ Monitor day to day fabric sourcing requests for all Brands.
∎ Closely working with merchandising, design team and completed the task on time.
∎ Maintaining fabric development as per customer TNA.
∎ Risk Analysis:
∎ Any Testing call outs - deal with customer and share technical explanation with them and get the confirmation before proceeding bulk.
∎ Attending risk assessment meeting (proto & SMS).
∎ Proper risk analysis of raw material /product from the development stage.
∎ Making deed of quality call out agreement with raw material supplier and customer then fix the quality performance standard for bulk production.
∎ Creating Fabric SOP to avoid any quality failure in bulk.
∎ From the development stage, work on root cause of testing failure and find out solution to achieve the quality std as per customer protocol.
∎ Bulk part:
∎ Providing color and quality confirmation to the supplier.
∎ Troubleshooting - daily communication with factory inspection, mill and customer.
∎ Analyzing cost with factory and ensure claim acceptance from mills.
∎ Supervising fabric testing, Upload test report into the customer site, find out the reason and solution if any test failed to meet the std.
∎ Ensuring satisfactory test results in bulk especially on FOB items.
∎ Checking fabric inspection report and overall quality.. If color/quality/test all parameters are ok then allow concern SCM fabric team to take delivery.
∎ Providing style wise color/shade approval to the factory before cutting.
∎ Also suggesting garment cutting plan if factory found any shading or any quality problem.
∎ Monitoring sustainable certification on each and every respective style/order to have smooth flow of Transaction certificate (TC) for organic and recycle material.
