Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s degree in Social Science, Economics, Development Studies, or relevant fields experiences;

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall lead and coordination of activities related to the achievement of outcome 2 of the SIMS project, in close coordination with the Project Director and other component experts;
∎ Establish rapport and maintain coordination with the key institutions of GoB ((including MoEWOE, MoLJPA, Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, BMET, WEWB, PKB, DEMO etc.) and establish formal MoUs as and where required;
∎ Strategically lead and develop the advocacy straetgy of SIMS, in close coordination with implementing partners and based on the political economy and power analysis (PEPA);
∎ Liaise with synergy projects, such as Reintegration of Migrant Workers in Bangladesh, Ashshash, B-SkillFUL etc.
∎ Promote the human-rights based and migrant-centred approach in the migration domain;
∎ Develop the capacity of private sector and civil society stakeholders to engage in evidence-based advocacy, following a well-defined advocacy strategy;
∎ Ensures Gender and Social Equity transformation approaches in SIMS in line with GSE Analysis including macro level analysis of Migration laws and policies;
∎ Advise and support the component managers to adopt the migrant-centred approach, taking into consideration the special needs of the migrant workers and their families;
∎ Provide technical backstopping and supervision to subcontractors in the respective areas of works;
∎ Lead the multi-stakeholder consultative process to promote and advance SIMS’s advocacy agenda;
∎ Closely liaise with partners for joint advocacy through the Obhibhashir Adalot TV Show.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ 5 years of working experience of which at least 4 years in the field of advocacy, policy dialogue with Government actors including MoEWOE, BMET, Ministry of Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, private sectors including BAIRA and civil society;
∎ Preferred knowledge & experience in the areas of safer migration, access to justice of migrant workers and their families and remittance management;
∎ Proven expertise in maintaining working relations with policy counterpart such as the MoEWOE, MoLJPA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh Bank;
∎ Successful (result-driven) networking record with national and international NGOs, Government and private sector including BAIRA;
∎ Strong network with regional or international labour migration, remittance management and financial inclusion stakeholders is an asset;
∎ Proven track record on execution of partnerships, synergies and coordination with one complementary programme/project implemented by different team within the same organisation;
∎ Experience of working in fragile context;
∎ Demonstrate high-level technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
∎ Fluent in English both written and spoken;
∎ Experience in strategic project planning, design and implementation;
∎ Experience in coaching and capacity building of staff and partners;
∎ Proven experience to work with the multisectoral partner, sub-contracts and consultant etc.

Salary:
∎ We will offer the attractive salary package along with the other benefits (festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity and medical insurance) based on your experience and qualification at similar position.
