Job Responsibilities:
∎ Dhaka Earthquake Emergency and Preparedness enhancing Resilience (DEEPER) project will be implemented in 14 wards of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) funded by ECHO. The Principle objective of the DEPPER to contribute to reduced propensity and scale of secondary impact from earthquakes and major emergencies amongest the population of Dhaka City, and to thereby support progress towards SDG goal 11 on sustainable cities & communities and Sendai Framework.
∎ This project has four specific result area includes:
∎ volunteer & system;
∎ Planning & System;
∎ safety of school and health system
∎ mobilization messes
∎ The job holder mainly responsible for the quality implementation of the project, donor reporting, and documentation relating to result no. 4 (as mentioned above).
∎ The Job holder will be expected to show experience and expertise in advocacy, campaigning and lobbying work with governments, donor institutions and inter-governmental bodies. Familiar with relevant themes and debates in the DRR, resilience and development domains.
∎ The jobholder will be expected to have strong influencing skills in support of effective collaboration and cooperation with multiple stakeholders and consortium partners.
∎ The job holder expecting to be familiar with working with civil society networks and coalitions. Ability to think strategically, plan, prioritise and implement multiple work tasks under tight timelines.
∎ The job holder will maintain compliance, program quality standards, administrative and financial requirements of Christian Aid and donor.
∎ The jobholder also will be responsible to support Christian Aid in emergencies as/when required.
∎ Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
∎ Advocacy, campaigning and lobbying work with governments, donor institutions and inter-governmental bodies.
∎ Advocacy materials on gender & inclusion connecting with earthquake preparedness & resilience and development domains.
∎ Effective collaboration and cooperation with multiple stakeholders
Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential:
∎ S/he must have at least 5-7 years experiences in Advocacy, Inclusion, Capacity Building, Urban Resilience and DRM in any reputed development organization with proven technical expertise preferably in similar position. Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in order to present information quickly and clearly to a variety of audiences, including the ability to communicate effectively in English.
∎ Facilitation skills and experience in delivering training related to DRM, Gender and Inclusion.
∎ Must have financial and budgeting skills and well understanding on programme cycle: planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects.
