Action for Social Development (ASD) is inviting application from committed & progressive development worker for the position of Accounts and Admin Assistant under the "She Rises” project funded by SOS-Children’s Village Worldwide (CVW) with technical support from SOS Children’s Village International in Bangladesh. Candidates having work experience in similar type of position and willing to work anywhere in Dhaka City is requested to apply.
Child Development Centre (CDC) is a centre for 40 street children (girls) where night shelter facilities are included is located in Mohammadpur area. Street children do not have place to sleep at night. Children especially girls are very unsafe on the street. They become victim of physical, sexual abuse. CDC provides them safe night shelter, basic entitlements like 3 times food, basic education, vocational training, life skill training, counseling, treatment, referral health, legal and psychosocial support etc. Girls stay there like their family. Projects reintegrate them with family or socially after prepare them for mainstream life so that they would not come back to the street again. Keeping the importance of safety and security of girl street children, CDC is planned with new measures to ensure protection and change their entire life positively.
Accounts and Admin Assistant
Job Description / Responsibility
Accounts and Admin Assistant - CDC under the direct supervision of Centre In charge of CDC is primarily responsible for maintaining accounts and administrative activities in Child Development Center (CDC).
Managing basic office administrative tasks including filing, printing, reporting and emailing
Recording and processing all financial and accounting practices, including budget and expenses reports
Working closely with Director, Finance to manage office records
Maintaining bookkeeping and office accounting needs
Collecting receipts and updating accounts payable and receivable records
Managing important department deadlines
Coordinate operations and provide administrative support.
Maintaining children’s individual profile.
Liaise with internal teams such as M&E, Programme, Human Resources and Finance as needed.
Using accounting software to manage day to day expenditures
Prepare budgets
And any work assigned by the organization.
