∎ Eastport Limited, 100% Export Oriented Garments Industry based in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of an Accountant. Eastport Limited is a manufacturing unit of PORTWEST, Ireland a leading global manufacturer of safety wear.
∎ Eastport is looking to hire an Accountant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years or more experience in related field.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
∎ Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
∎ Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
∎ Coordinate and liaise with co-staff to support intercompany activities
∎ Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
∎ Prepare & Maintain VAT & AIT Returns
∎ Back up for other colleagues where necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent oral and written communication in English is must
∎ Excellent presentation skills
∎ A minimum of five years of experience in related field
∎ A broad knowledge in VAT & TAX returns
∎ Well experienced in accounting software Tally & M3
∎ Flexibility - willingness to help other colleagues to meet deadlines
∎ Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.
∎ Strong Microsoft office skills, especially excel
