Job Summary:
The Accountant will manage the company’s financial functions in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS), focusing on cost and management accounting. Advanced Excel skills are required for precise financial reporting, cost control, and process optimization. The role also involves ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit & loss statements.
Perform financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
2. Financial Planning and Management:
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure optimal cash flow.
Develop and manage cash flow projections and reporting.
Handle overdue accounts and optimize the ERP system.
3. Cost and Management Accounting:
Utilize cost accounting techniques for effective cost monitoring and control.
Prepare and analyze cost reports to aid decision-making.
Oversee management accounting functions, including budgeting and planning.
4. Fixed Asset Management:
Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking, valuation, and depreciation.
Ensure accurate reporting of fixed assets.
5. Bookkeeping:
Maintain detailed and accurate bookkeeping records.
Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of financial transactions.
6. Risk Management:
Monitor and manage client receivables and associated risks.
Safeguard the firm’s assets and report on uninsured risks.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and tax compliance requirements.
Prepare and file regulatory reports and tax returns.
Monitor changes in regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
8. Systems and Support:
Train staff on effective use of financial systems and technology.
Oversee capital expenditures for technology.
9. Administrative Duties:
Collaborate with departments on revenue and expense forecasting.
Manage asset agreements and office leases.
Oversee supply chain and payroll processes.
Facilitate meetings to improve processes.
10. Human Resources:
Lead and motivate the accounting team.
Guide the controller in maintaining accurate records and controls.
Monitor staff performance and manage staffing needs.
