Job Context:
WAVE Foundation is seeking suitable and qualified candidates for an upcoming project under its Social Development and Youth Empowerment Program supported by DW Akademie. The project aims to empower youth, CSO and regional media to exercise freedom of expression in promoting civic engagement and inclusive dialogue across Bangladesh. Established in 1990, WAVE Foundation (www.wavefoundationbd.org) is a Civil Society Organization committed to its vision of building “A Just and Prosperous Society.” Since its inception, the organization has been implementing a wide range of activities to promote socio-economic development for poor and marginalized communities. WAVE also advocates for universal human rights and good governance through issue-based campaigns. Position Summary:
The Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating project activities and ensuring effective engagement with district-level youth group, CSOs, universities, local journalists and policymakers. S/he will support planning, organizing, and facilitating key events including bootcamps, idea labs, roundtables, online sessions and the stakeholder summit ensuring meaningful youth participation and strong institutional collaboration. S/he will ensure and maintain a strong database of youth participants and stakeholders to strengthen visibility and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with partner CSOs, youth networks, and university clubs to implement project activities.
Facilitate collaboration and networking among district-level stakeholders, policymakers, and media representatives.
Support organization and facilitation of bootcamps, idea labs, roundtables, and youth symposiums.
· Assist in organizing and moderating online and offline sessions and training workshops.
Maintain updated databases of youth participants, CSOs, and other stakeholders.
Strengthen partnerships to promote youth-led initiatives and policy dialogues at local and national levels.
Salary BDT 55,000–59,920/month (other benefits as per project provisions and organizational policy)
