Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objectives :
∎ WaSH officer will be responsible for implementing SI programs activity and emergency response in HC.
∎ He/she will participate in the collection of data and the identification of beneficiaries within the target communities.
∎ He/she will participate in monitoring the implemented activities and assessing new needs.
∎ He/ She will participate in emergency response (COVID 19, AWD Etc.) in HC.
∎ He/ She could be asked to take part in program activity related training, development of implementation strategy and distribution activities.
∎ List of main responsibilities:
∎ Hygiene Promotion:
∎ Under supervision of program supervisor:
∎ Facilitate hygiene promotion sessions / supervise the community facilitator in community level.
∎ Take part to develop IEC/BEC materials.
∎ Record attendance of beneficiaries and follow up of meeting to each hygiene promotion session.
∎ S/He will take part in developing HP activities according to SI's HP strategy.
∎ S/He will take part in conducting assessment/survey to control progress and efficiency of program activities.
∎ Operational Monitoring and Implementation:
∎ Under supervision of WASH supervisor:
∎ S/he will be responsible for data collection and beneficiary selection.
∎ S/he will be responsible to support in conducting baseline, KAP survey, PDM and report emergency needs.
∎ S/He will be responsible to communicate with beneficiary, community leaders and arrange regular meeting, training/session with them.
∎ S/He will take part in logistic and administrative organization, planning and preparation of job site.
∎ S/He will assist program supervisor for recruit and train daily workers and volunteers. Also supervise them as well as contractors during implementation of activities.
∎ S/He will make sure construction activities are carried out according to technical specification and respecting set deadlines and planning.
∎ S/He will take part to the evaluation of technical competence of contractor by respecting SI administrative procedure.
∎ S/he will be responsible to ensure community participation and engagement throughout the whole activity process, from design to implementation.
∎ S/He will be responsible to anticipate and report any issues faced in the field to its direct line manager.
∎ S/He will be responsible to ensure safety and security measured respected for each activity and these rules been respected by the work force under his/her supervision.
∎ Emergency Response in HC:
∎ Under supervision of WASH supervisor:
∎ S/He will take part in emergency response to disasters including epidemics such as AWD or COVID 19 in Host Communities.
∎ S/He will ensure all safety and security measures are respected before, during and after response and by the workforce under his/her supervision.
∎ S/He will ensure proper communication with communities as well as respect of beneficiaries' data confidentiality during and after the intervention.
∎ S/He will report any issues faced in the field during emergency response to its direct line manager.
∎ Reporting / Communication/ Representation
∎ S/he will consult with local people and other stakeholders to identify needs, complains, or major event which may have impact on SI activity.
∎ S/He will ensure all monitoring tools and files are properly archived in SI office and accessible by management.
∎ S/he will report about development and progress activities s/he assigned for, problem arises and relationship with beneficiary on daily basis to his or her line manager.
∎ S/he will share with his/her direct line manager all information about security, activities, logistics or administrative issues occurring at field level.
∎ S/he will participate to the general program meetings (weekly, monthly...).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 years of proven working Experience with INGO/NGO and in the field in similar position.
∎ Technical expertise in WASH, expertise in Food security and livelihoods, and DRR will be an asset.
∎ Ability to speak the Chittagonian dialect is an added value. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
∎ Ex-Solidarites Staff will get preference.

Salary:
∎ Monthly Salary: 45700 BDT
