Educational Requirements:
∎ BSC/Diploma in Civil Engineering
∎ Skills Required: Auto CAD, MS Office
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate the implementation of the project activities and ensure all assigned duties are carried out and that resources are efficiently utilized at all levels.
∎ Organize and followup on the work of his/her department.
∎ Create work plan that prioritizes repair and desludging based on urgency.
∎ Carry out assessment directly according to schedule and specifications at project areas.
∎ Assist to conduct FSM plant repairs and desludging activity timely with the maintenance of good quality.
∎ Supervise all daily workers & desludging volunteer's work.
∎ Prepare the draft BoQs, technical drawing as per need basis.
∎ Assist to prepare tender documents for the request for quotations if required.
∎ Check the quality of ongoing works and vendor-supplied materials.
∎ Collect and preserve qualitative and quantitative data from camp & host communities.
∎ Update the line manager timely on existing activities and what types of repair needed at the FSM plant.
∎ Support the line manager at the field level, other sector actors and the beneficiaries.
∎ Train the newly hired desludging volunteers with the guidance of the WASH Infrastructure Officer.
∎ Strong capacity to manage several teams DW, Desludging volunteers etc.
∎ Supervise and monitor all implemented/implementing hardware works (Latrine Installation, Latrine Decommissioning and Bathing Cubicle Construction) and ensure the works advance. according to timeline and works specifications.
∎ Ensure that the contractor safeguards the safety of his labors and the community.
∎ Constructed hardware more sustainability purpose regular coordinate with the community leader, Majhee and other WASH project staffs at the field.
∎ Conduct needs assessment on different types of WASH Infrastructure (as per project objective) and report to his/her line manager.
∎ Ensure constant communication with WASH staff members to identify potential problems, formulate recommendations and solutions and report.
∎ This list of activities is not exhaustive and additional activities may be requested by Tdh management according to the needs of the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proven experience with (I)NGO in relief context (3 to 5 years)
∎ Experience of construction for the rural structure communities such as WASH/FSM Plant
∎ Ability to accomplish assigned tasks accurately and by established deadlines
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Auto CAD
∎ Proficient in written and spoken English
∎ Fluency in the local language will be considered as a plus
∎ Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
∎ Excellent organization and communication skills
∎ Professionalism and thoroughness
∎ Good capacity to work under pressure
