Additional Requirements:
∎ Have knowledge in implementing WASH related infrastructures like ; community toilet, bathing cubicles, septic tank, slab latrine, Ring Well, and Piped Water supply system, Spring protection etc.
∎ Have knowledge on preparing appropriate technical specification in BOQ and Tender Documents.
∎ Knowledge in Computer Aided Design Software like AutoCad- 2D & 3D,
∎ Networking capacity with GOB and other NGOs
∎ Ability to drive motorbike with valid driving licenseAbility to work in different target groups
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to work in a teamWork under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
∎ Basic computer knowledge of using MS Word and MS Excel
∎ Knowledge on supervision and quality control
∎ Minimum three years working experience in similar work with excellent academic background
∎ Working experience with NGOs.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct feasibility study for the required WASH infrastructures at selected unions. Facilitate to conduct brief environmental assessment considering Do NO HARM for environment approach.
∎ Prepare draft nature friendly and cost-effective design and BOQ proposal for necessary WASH infrastructures as required (with having appropriate consultation with the respective local level stakeholders, local community and National office engineering department for technical feedback and finalize the approval process before implementation).
∎ Ensure technical support for drawing, design, BoQ any WASH related work through SCM department.
∎ Ensure workmanship and technical standards of all WASH related infrastructures development /improvement through using appropriate and visible monitoring tools.
∎ Lead to prepare effective Work Schedule and monitor accordingly. Maintain an effective budget monitoring tools related to WASH infrastructure development/improvement schemes.
∎ Ensure support for processing construction bill payments to SCM with appropriate documentation.
∎ Establish networking and linkage with different stakeholders.
∎ This position will be liable to implement WASH related infrastructure development/improvement/renovation work in a cost effective, environment friendly and sustainable manner within the project working areas under the WASH in fragile context project. He/she will ensure quality of materials, workmanship and standards as applicable for implementing or improving the WASH facilities according to the project requirements. Therefore, this is highly expected to ensure effective engagement of the respective local level stakeholders, implementing partners and community as well in planning. designing and monitoring in every stages of the project implementation. Also will responsible to ensure appropriate final bill submission to the SCM and definitely maintain all sorts of documentation and reporting appropriately and timely. Person will maintain and take continual technical guidance from the WVB National Office Engineering department as well as administrative guidance from the supervisor. \This position will be a Short-Term contract for 21 Months.
