Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage receiving, storage, and dispatch of pesticides, fertilizers, and agrochemical products.
- Ensure proper inventory control and stock accuracy through regular physical stock counts and system updates.
- Maintain warehouse safety standards according to government regulations and company policies.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, including segregation of incompatible products.
- Monitor product expiry dates, batch numbers, and damaged goods.
- Supervise warehouse staff, loaders, drivers, and support personnel.
- Coordinate with sales, supply chain, and transport teams for timely product delivery.
- Maintain proper documentation such as stock registers, challans, delivery notes, and inventory reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, fire safety, and pesticide regulatory requirements.
- Control warehouse cleanliness, ventilation, pest control, and security systems.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and prepare variance reports.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and improve operational efficiency.
- Handle audits and inspections from management or government authorities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by warehouse workers.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.
- In Bangladesh agrochemical companies, they often also require:
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems
- Understanding of pesticide laws and hazardous chemical handling
- Experience with FIFO/FEFO inventory methods
- Fire and safety management knowledge
