Education: The candidate must have DVM (Must be Registered from Bangladesh Veterinary Council)/ BSc in Vet Science & AH. Also required MS in Surgery & Obstetrics

  • Experience on large animal treatment & surgery in the field level is preferable

  • Knowledge on Artificial Insemination & Biotechnology, Reproductive Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Reproductive Hormone, Reproductive health management of farm animals, Technique in surgery & Gynecology

  • Excellent in work prioritization, time management as well as the ability to adapt to work under pressure and challenging environment

  • Must have Communication, analytical ability, problem solving and report writing skill

  • Must have using capabilities of MS Office

  • Able to work under stress situation



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Assisted in preparing annual production plans and budgets for high-quality semen, embryos, ova, and related products by producing high-quality breeding bulls, cows, buffaloes, and bucks at the Bull Station on behalf of the Deputy Manager (Production).

  • Managed Bull Mother Herd activities, including Embryo Transfer (ET), Ovum Pick-Up (OPU), and embryo production.

  • Conducted routine animal health checkups, vaccinations, medication, heat detection, artificial insemination (AI) of cows in heat, pregnancy diagnosis, calf delivery, dystocia correction, cesarean sections, treatment, and overall management of breeding animals.

  • Supervised shed supervisors and laborers at the Bull Station to ensure animal health improvement and proper maintenance.

  • Coordinated with and supported the Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager (Animal Health) in all matters related to animal health management.

  • Prepared, preserved, and maintained all types of databases related to animal health.

  • Maintained production and reproduction records for further analysis and evaluation.

  • Prepared and shared reports to identify challenges and implement necessary operational actions in coordination with the Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager (Animal Health).

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

  • Perform any other jobs delegated by the supervisor(s)
