Job Responsibilities:
∎ VARD has been implementing Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS and Malaria (GFATM)- Malaria Control Program in 5 Upazilas of Sylhet, Sunamganj and Moulvibazar district since June 2007 funded by Global Fund. The Principal Recipient of GFATM Malaria grant is BRAC and under Malaria Elimination Program has been implementing from Jan. 2018. The position is based at Sunamganj Sadar Upazila under Sunamganj district.
∎ Job Responsibilities :
∎ Planning
∎ a. Lead the malaria team at upazila and prepare annual work-plan to achieve targets
∎ b. Provide necessary information to higher management in decision making
∎ Implementation
∎ a. Conduct monthly performance review meeting with health workers
∎ b. Organize awareness meetings with community
∎ c. Ensure proper distribution of bed nets and organize sessions for bed net treatment as per guideline
∎ d. Ensure regular drugs and diagnostics supply to health workers and laboratories
∎ e. Ensure quality diagnosis, treatment and follow up of patients
∎ f. Ensure referral of complicated patient to upazila health complex or other facilities
∎ g. Ensure implementation of the surveillance system (i.e. data collection, reporting and feedback)
∎ h. Facilitate internal & external monitoring and audit
∎ Monitoring, supervision & coordination
∎ a. Supervise all activities of laboratory technician, service staff for warehouse com admin officer
∎ b. Health workers and other staff
∎ c. Maintain coordination with Government, BRAC and project office
∎ d. Conduct regular visit to oversee programme implementation
∎ e. Facilitate periodic visits by NMCP, BRAC, WHO, GFATM and other stakeholders
∎ Reporting & Dissemination :
∎ a. Ensure timely, complete and accurate reporting as per MIS guideline
∎ b. Prepare monthly and quarterly performance report and indent of drugs & logistics
∎ c. Ensure any other reports of PR and NMCP as and when necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ 1. Minimum 3 year management experience in any health care project
∎ 2. Ability to work with government and development partner
∎ 3. Ability to work independently and in a team
∎ 4. Adequate knowledge in health and social structures of Bangladesh
∎ 5. Strong interpersonal and communication skill
∎ 6. Good oral and written communication skill (English and Bengali)
∎ 7. Valid motorcycle license and willingness to drive motorcycle
Salary: Tk. 28375 (Monthly)
