Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The role of Trade Officer will be to actively promote trade and investment between the two countries, promote Swedish companies in Bangladesh or guide new companies that want to establish themselves in the country, as well as responsible for political and economic analyses.
∎ The Trade Officer will report to the Head of the Section and also work closely with the Ambassador and the thematic programme officers in the Development Section at the Embassy.
∎ Advance the overall Swedish export promotion, trade facilitation and business development in Bangladesh
∎ Liaise between the Embassy in Dhaka and Business Sweden in New Delhi for the purpose of strengthening the commercial ties between Sweden and Bangladesh
∎ Keep updated with Swedish and Bangladeshi policies and economic development with regards to trade and sustainable business, including EU regulatory framework, e.g., GSP+
∎ Represent the Embassy in relevant seminars, webinars and other trade events as per economic and strategic interests of Sweden-Bangladesh bilateral trade relations
