∎ Min. 5 years of experience working with similar tasks, preferably with another Embassy or other international organizations
∎ Previous experience managing online accounts package - i.e. Business World/ Aggresso (or similar)
∎ Experience of internal control systems
∎ Accounting and data practices and analysis with excellent skills in MS Office
∎ Analytical approach (budgeting and financial analysis)
∎ Data orientation and ability to organize information into effective formats for management review
∎ Ability to ensure delivery and completion of tasks, under periods of high workload
∎ Ability to initiate and implement activities independently to meet deadlines with high level of quality and accuracy
∎ Ability to demonstrate cooperative skills, high level of quality of work, responsibility, professional integrity
∎ Min. 5 years of experience working with similar tasks, preferably with another Embassy or other international organizations

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Communicating with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs on book-keeping system related queries
∎ Coordinating with Embassy’s local bank regarding banking services
∎ All local accounting and book-keeping related to bank transactions
∎ Pension administration for locally employed staff and monthly reporting to SPV (The Swedish National Government Employee Pensions Board)
∎ Salary administration for locally employed staff
∎ Income tax administration for all local staff
∎ Financial administration of benefits for posted staff
∎ Follow-up of the Embassy operational budget
∎ Administration of procurement issues, especially in regular vendor enlistment processes
∎ Being a focal point for issues related to the Embassy Health Insurance policy for locally employed staff
∎ Coordination with the other Nordic Embassies on cost-sharing issues
∎ Assisting the Head of the Administrative Section in general administrative matters related to monthly and yearly budget follow-up
∎ Preparing VAT reimbursement process
∎ Performing other duties as and when required
∎ The Embassy Of Sweden is seeking a candidate for the position Of Chief Accounts Officer with the Administrative Section, reporting directly to the Head Of Administration (a Swedish Diplomat).
∎ The Embassy offers a dynamic work space, as part of the Nordic embassies, sharing its offices and maintaining close cooperation with the embassies of Norway and Denmark in Dhaka. This gives a scope to also work closely with people of the other Nordic Embassies.

∎ Main Job Responsibilities
∎ The Chief Accounts Officer - a key role in handling issues related to finance, budget, and accounting Of the Embassy's operational budget, is responsible for.
∎ Communicating with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs on book-keeping system related queries
∎ Coordinating with Embassy’s local bank regarding banking services
