Experience:
MBBS with a valid BMDC license/registration.
Candidate should have minimum of 3 years of experience in public health or community development.
The candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous learning and clinical practice in a hospital setting, along with interest in teaching Nursing and Midwifery students and facilitation workshop/seminars on Obstetric Fistula.
Knowledge of best practices, approaches, and methodologies related to SRHR.
Applicants should have good computer knowledge, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, and excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential.

There is a vacancy for the following contractual position under the Community Health and Development Program (CHDP).
Job Summary: The Technical Specialist – Health and Education will communicate and coordinate closely with Government Health Officials and CHDP/Hospital teams. She will lead and support fistula-related seminars, workshops, and diagnostic camps, and work in close collaboration with the hospital fistula team.
The role involves participation in clinical fistula diagnosis, fistula camps, and the delivery of patient care in both OPD and IPD settings. She will also serve as a member of the Nursing and Midwifery faculty team.
1. Planning, implementation and Academic Instruction:
To lead team with professional behaviour and integrity, and to promote unity and peace among all team members under the project
Deliver theoretical lectures and practical demonstrations in accordance with the approved BNMC midwifery curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and training aids.v
Facilitate interactive learning sessions using modern teaching methodologies.
Conduct student assessments, examinations, and evaluations.
Maintain academic records and student performance documentation.
Ensure good knowledge on fistula among the field level staff of government health and family planning department
Provide supportive supervision for outreach/peripheral others project’s activities as per need.
To facilitate the fistula surgery workshop for doctors/ surgeons at upazila /district and division level.
To assist the LAMB medical team to conduct fistula diagnosis camp at Upazila level.
Giving technical input to fistula program PM and community teams
Writing periodic project report to LAMB management and donor
2. Clinical Supervision and Program Monitoring:
Supervise students during clinical placements in affiliated hospitals and health facilities.
Provide bedside teaching in antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, newborn care, and emergency obstetric services.
Monitor students’ clinical logbooks and competency achievement.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and professional ethics.
Facilitate reflective practice and clinical case discussions.
Collate information needed for donor reporting and send reports to concerned management with the consultation of Project manager/CHDP Director
Lead to develop monitoring tools and schedule, and ensure that program monitoring and evaluation are conducted periodically
Ensure compliance of organization and donor
Coordinate with fistula surgeons to ensure ongoing fistula surgeries, inc. control of quality of preoperative and post-operative care.
Coordinate with the fistula project consultant to organize fistula camps for visiting surgeons together with the team.
Ensure that fistula diagnosis camps are organized at the upazila level in consultation with the fistula project consultant.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with the National Nursing and Midwifery Council standards.
Maintain proper documentation and reporting related to academic and clinical activities.
Participate in internal and external monitoring, supervision, and audit processes.
4. Networking and advocacy:
Ensure good communication between LAMB and the donor at the central and local levels
Establish professional relationship with UH&FPO, UFPO, DD-FP, CS, Director-Health, Director-FP on behalf of LAMB
Establish very good linkage with local administration, district hospitals, Upazila health complex, UH&FWC etc.
Assist FWC to explore fistula patients
Ensure in collaboration with all LAMB Project Officers that effective communication occurs between departments and that the components have the necessary resources to fulfil the objectives of the various programs
Analyse decision-making that is specific to project and community and provide this information for dissemination.
Participating in advocacy meetings as a speaker or representative at the Upazila, district and divisional level.
5. Professional Development & Institutional Support
Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
Support capacity-building initiatives for faculty and clinical preceptors.
Participate in seminars, workshops, and academic events organized by the institution.
Contribute to research, case studies, and evidence-based practice initiatives when applicable.
7. Integration of spiritual, emotional & social health:
Ensure prayer at beginning of daily work, before the meeting, workshop, seminar & training
Ensure availability of religious books and references at all offices, sub-offices/centres
Ensure spiritual concepts & holistic approach to communication, service delivery, administration and resolution of conflicts
