Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Protection and Education in Emergencies for Rohingya refugee children and host communities in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh Project under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox`s Bazar with the support of EDUCO Bangladesh and AECID.
∎ The project duration 01st January 2022 to 31st December 2022 (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Ukhiya with substantial field activities at camp-14 and host community at Ukhiya . The job may be regularized after completion of 3 months of services under FIVDB`s pay-scale, rules and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job Responsibilities-
∎ The technical officer- Vocational will be responsible for technical support. She/he will be also responsible for the train up all technical trainers and implementing vocational training.
∎ Technical Support:
∎ • She/he provides technical support for implementing VT by Trainer.
∎ • To guide VT trainer for working on the right track.
∎ • To develop the latest technic for implementing vocational trade.
∎ • Planning, execution and quality check on a daily basis.
∎ • Innovation and broadcasting mechanism setup.
∎ Support & Monitoring VT Trainer:
∎ • She/he Support the VT Trainer for a training plan and implementing VT smoothly.
∎ • Ensure vocational training schedule for implementing VT smoothly.
∎ • Ensure the quality operation of the Multi-Purpose Centre (MPC).
∎ Report Prepare, analysis and submission:
∎ • Weekly progress report with presentation need to submit.
∎ • MPC progress tracking with attendance benchmark setting and analysis day to day adjustment.
∎ • Vocational trade-based training and technical bookmaking.
∎ • Day to day MPC status sharing.
∎ • Daily tracking report making.
∎ Proper documentation:
∎ • Monitor the documentation of trainees that are related to VT.
∎ • Strongly follow up attendance rate of trainees who attend vocational training.
∎ • Log keeping for every information about VT.
∎ • S/he will responsible for developing training materials.
∎ • Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets as
∎ assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme
∎ is becoming increasingly important.
∎ Field Visit:
∎ • She/he will have to invest at least 60% (Weekly 04 days or Monthly 16 days) of the total working hours for the necessary field visits.
∎ • She/he Visits the multipurpose Centre (Host & Camp14).
∎ Ensuring logistic support:
∎ • Ensure access to material, logistics and further technical support and set eligibility criteria for material and other support.
∎ • According to the project budget, support LO for purchase. If any urgency H/she will appear as a logistic officer for the betterment of the VT.
∎ Ensures that FIVDB policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB's Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures
