Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design and implement livelihood activities tailored to the needs of climate-induced displaced populations, particularly women and marginalized groups.
∎ Conduct market assessments to identify potential livelihood opportunities.
∎ Facilitate vocational and entrepreneurial training for target beneficiaries, including skill enhancement and business development services.
∎ Support beneficiaries in accessing markets, microfinance, and other resources to sustain their income-generating activities.
∎ Train community-based groups, local stakeholders, and beneficiaries on livelihood strategies, financial literacy, and small business management.
∎ Provide mentorship and guidance to beneficiaries in establishing and sustaining their livelihood initiatives.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of livelihood interventions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
∎ Collect and analyze data to track the success of beneficiaries in achieving sustainable income.
∎ Prepare periodic reports, case studies, and success stories for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Work closely with the Gender, Protection, and Climate Adaptation teams to integrate livelihood interventions into the broader project framework.
∎ Collaborate with local government authorities, NGOs, and private sector partners to strengthen project outcomes.
∎ Act as a liaison between the community, project team, and external stakeholders.
∎ Maintain accurate records of all activities and beneficiary progress.
∎ Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for project stakeholders, including donors and partners.
∎ Contribute to knowledge-sharing and learning within the project team.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Resource Development Foundation (RDF) will implement a project named ‘Transforming Gender Inequality and Ensuring Empowerment for Climate-induced Displaced People in Urban Slum’ at Barishal from 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2027 funded by Climate Bridge Fund (CBF) with financial support from the Government of Germany through KfW, and BRAC. This project will be implemented in the slum areas of Barishal City Corporation. To implement the project, RDF invites applications from the competent and qualified persons for the following position.
∎ The Technical Officer-Livelihood will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring livelihood interventions for climate-induced displaced people, with a focus on promoting gender equality, skill development, and sustainable income-generating activities. The role aims to support the resilience and empowerment of vulnerable communities in urban slums.
