Job Responsibilities:
∎ Guide and assist WASH committee in community mobilization and sensitization for WASH activities.
∎ Facilitate and supervise weekly hygiene awareness campaigns in markets and public areas in project areas.
∎ Provide technical support for CHPs through WASH committee in Mobilization for Hygiene and Sanitation campaigns.
∎ Carry out bimonthly cleaning up campaigns at WASH facilities and other camp areas.
∎ Through community hygiene promoters, conduct daily monitoring visit to WAH facilities to ensure that the whole WASH system are well functional with less risks and other WASH facilities to ensure best uses.
∎ Follow up House to house hygiene session activities, prepare and compile CHPs report on weekly and monthly basis.
∎ Liaise with engineers in General cleaning up campaign and ensure that solid waste is well and safely disposed.
∎ Assist the deputy team in assessing Hygiene issues and needs.
∎ Provide detail plan and Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) for Hygiene kits and top up kits distribution beside other hygiene materials.
∎ Ensure coordination and collaboration with Ministry of health and hygiene and AWD technical working group.
∎ Draft the filed visit, PDM and training reports in quality and submit to the deputy team lead.
∎ Design hygiene promotion training materials and set up training action plan in coordination with Focal agency hygiene expert.
∎ Participate in sector forums related to hygiene promotion and Follow up the action plans with proper feedback.
∎ Design BCC/IEC materials related to the hygiene activities and develop the associate program.
∎ Lead PHAST and CHAST approaches to conduct awareness campaigns in the camp and leaning centers.
∎ To perform other duties and tasks not covered in the job description assigned by his supervisor.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good knowledge of water and sanitation issues, and hygiene practice.
∎ Good knowledge of Community mobilization and sanitizations and skills transfer.
∎ English: fluency in the language expected to work independently using the language required, to prepare a variety of written communications (correspondence, reports, working papers, etc.) to participate actively in meetings and in work related discussions.
∎ Ability to use computers and have knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
∎ Teamwork spirit and community mobilization skills
