Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's Degree from any reputed University. Knowledge and interest on photography and videography is necessary for the position. Ability to explore and write case stories from the field is also requirement for this position.

Job Context:
∎ CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women in need of reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named as "Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refuge coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with Directorate of Social welfare and formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people. ∎ Mission Statement: CWFD is a non-political, non-profit voluntary organization run by women of Bangladesh to support, promote and protect the interest of women in Bangladesh by providing community-based health care, empower community to exercise their rights to eliminate social injustice, creating economic opportunities, empower under privileged youth of urban and rural population and develop human resources for a positive social change.
∎ Project background: Concerned Women for Family Development receive funds from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement Generation Breakthrough Project: Phase-II `Improving the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health in Bangladesh (ImSRHRMNAH,B)`. This project aims to address gender- based violence (GBV) in Bangladesh by establishing linkages to adolescents` sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity, with a focus on engaging boys and girls improving relationship building skills. As a part of delivering adolescent friendly health services, `Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including maternal and new born health in Bangladesh` project create linkage for tele-counseling and referral services to different service providers on sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence. The primary target groups of this helpline and adolescent friendly health service are adolescents aged 10-19 years.
∎ Similarly, CWFD working with UNFPA for the national humanitarian response, the A&Y programme unit of UNFPA receive funds from Australia (AUB10). That fund are being used to implement Phase II of the A&Y Humanitarian Photography Project in host communities of Cox`s Bazar, in view of providing COVID-19 sensitive skills building opportunities for young people.

∎ Job Summary: The Technical Officer is responsible for implementation of activities of Youth Photography Project activities such as selection of Youth Leader, providing training and necessary support to youth photographers as per the guideline of the project. She will provide support to maintain coordination with respective school/madrasa teachers, health service providers and local elected bodies of the operational areas. She needs to train the youth photographers for taking quality photographs. She needs to upload selected photographs on a weekly basis by giving captions of the photographs. She will also explore case story and success story of the project. Through field visits she will provide on the job training to the youth photographers on photography and success story writing.
∎ The Technical Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Communication Officer. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the implementation of quality program interventions. The Technical Officer will maintain coordination and liaison with all the project stakeholders.
∎ Job Duration: Up to 31 December 2021 and maybe extended depending on availability of fund.
∎ Duty station: Cox`s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Planning and implementation project photography activities of the assigned areas:
∎ Prepare monthly work plan of the assigned working areas based on project work plan.
∎ Selection of the youth photographers for providing support for implementing the project's photography and success story documentation.
∎ Follow all policies and procedures related to photography for taking photographs by the youth photographers.
∎ Assist communication officer for selecting quality photographs. And upload those in the Google drive.
∎ Taking video clips of interesting project events and success stories.
∎ Arrange necessary editing of those videos and uploads those in the Google drive.
∎ Explore case stories and success stories at the field and document those, :
∎ Explore case stories and success stories of the UNFPA funded project during field visit.
∎ Document those stories and also take related photographs of the story and events.
∎ Orient Youth Photographers for exploring case stories from the project areas.
∎ Edit those stories collected by the youth photographers.
∎ Prepare monthly and periodical reports and per project need.:
∎ Prepare monthly report on the photographs and case stories collected, edited and uploaded.
∎ Share quality photographs and case stories with related stakeholders.
∎ Submit report to the communication officers for sharing in the quarter and annual reports.
∎ Coordination among all stakeholders at the field levels.
∎ Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with the GO, NGO, school teachers, Community groups, Health service providers.
∎ Create linkage between service seekers and service providers in the community on health and gender-based violence

∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Experienced candidates of Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Gender Based Violence will be given preference. Should have experience in community mobilization, communication, liaison and collaborating with the Health Service Providers of GOs and NGO, report preparation at the different stage of the project; good communication skills willing to work in the grass root level good understanding about rural community, its dynamics, power structure and development issues; sensitive to the needs and conditions of women and children.
∎ Line of responsibility: The Technical Officer is directly reportable to the Field Manager/ Communication Officer.

Salary:
∎ BDT 25,800/- per month (including all other benefits).
