Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) and collaborating with the technical team in Dhaka including project's university partner, and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Director to design and implement effective HSEA strategies.
∎ Developing/co-developing training manuals including in-person and online training materials for core trainers, master trainers, principals, vice principals, education professionals, and governing body members using needs analysis, research on effective practices, and considering local contexts.
∎ Revising professional development materials and training packages during implementation and after each pilot phase applying continual learning from the users and key stakeholders and adapting methodologies to evaluate.
∎ Assisting the MEL team in developing and implementing regular evaluations of training activities.
∎ Organizing and facilitating training development and nationwide rollout in consultation with the technical team and university partner.
∎ Monitoring the quality of GOB trainers through observations and their activities on the project LMS.
∎ Contributing to donor reports, including quarterly and annual submissions, in collaboration with the university partner and technical team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and donor expectations.
∎ Developing case studies and success stories showcasing programmatic achievements and lessons learned for both internal and external audiences.
∎ Providing support to the trainers in identifying skilled facilitators/leaders to serve as exemplars and lead professional learning communities (PLCs) while attending PLC convenings.
∎ Ensuring effective collaboration and coordination with project implementation regional team alongside Govt. key stakeholders.
∎ Providing guidance and support in organizing events, workshops, and training.
∎ Location of Assignment: The location of assignment is in Dhaka, Bangladesh. with potential visits to DSHE and the project’s regional offices.
∎ Supervision and Reporting: Reports to the Deputy Chief of Party
∎ Period of Performance: This is a long-term position with a possibility of extension.
∎ Job summary:
∎ USAID funded Higher Secondary Education Activity (HSEA), implemented by Chemonics International Inc, will support the Ministry of Education to improve the quality of higher secondary education teaching. The project’s objectives are 1) Teachers’ instructional and management skills enhanced 2) Leadership and supervision capacity of principals and education officers strengthened 3) Coordinated and harmonized training for teachers/principals/education officers introduced in HSE.
∎ Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
