Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Science/Social Science in Public Administration, Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration or any relevant field with a minimum CGPA 2.5 or above from any recognized University.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead policy advocacy initiatives of BRAC through research, evidence creating and development of appropriate strategy for implementation.
∎ Lead timely and effective implementation of the advocacy strategy drawn for each of the advocacy topics/issues.
∎ Develop partnership with Government agencies, UN organizations, international organizations, likeminded agencies and individuals including opinion leaders in support of the policy agenda.
∎ Manage and lead policy research and evidence creating initiatives for internal and external consumption including for Government agencies specifically outlining policy responses and expected impact in life of underserved communities
∎ Lead high impact report publications to sensitize the external and internal stakeholders on policy issues
∎ Lead and manage policy Advocacy team members and act as mentor and guide the professional development of the team members to successfully undertake their roles and improve their capacity.
∎ Monitor national policy environment to provide necessary suggestions to the Programme Director and the programme head to take timely initiative for influencing specific policies that is of interest to BRAC.
∎ Manage in designing, organising, and coordinating national and international advocacy events in conjunction with other BRAC programmes
∎ Work closely with other BRAC programmes to lead the development of clear, innovative, consistent and coherent messaging for BRAC national and global advocacy.
∎ Support the Programme Director in providing necessary updates and information on policy advocacy work to senior management and potential donors and stakeholders.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8 years' work experience of policy reform, research and advocacy agenda implementation
∎ In depth knowledge of policy making, legislative process and government structure of Bangladesh;
∎ Knowledge of current development policy trends and frameworks, especially the Sustainable Development Goals and in particular youth development;
∎ Experience in and capable to communicating with high level legislative and executive branch policy-makers and staff;
∎ Demonstrated technical expertise in the policy analysis and advocacy;
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and fluent written/spoken English
