Job Context:
∎ The System Administrator is responsible for design and development of Linux/Windows system services and technologies to meet client and business unit requirements. Primary objective is to identify optimal networking and communications solutions that deliver long term capabilities, capacity, reliability and resiliency for the business units and clients to successfully maintain and grow their business operations
∎ The System Administrator plays a critical role in the implementation, documentation and troubleshooting of large networks, for both enterprises and data centers. The candidate should have an extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, GPO, IIS, DHCP, File and Storage, NPS, Hyper-V, Print server. A solid understanding of Microsoft 365. Candidate must have a good understanding of software application/network protocols like LAN, WAN, HTTP, SSL, FTP, SCP, SMTP, RTSP, SIP, DHCP, and DNS.
∎ The candidate will be developing, documenting, and maintaining all server systems to include their configurations via command line and graphic user interface in a controlled change management environment. They will also be troubleshooting system performance issues & providing technical support and guidance to users. The candidate will also be recommending upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment for the system environment following the Windows and Linux design life cycle. Knowledge of Windows and Linux industry best practices, documentation standards. Candidate uses their knowledge of Private and Public cloud.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the Desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions. This also includes the basic hardware assembling and troubleshooting
∎ Responsible to ensure that IT Audit points are implemented as per relevant Standard Operating Procedures
∎ Virtualization, Server Administrations (VMware, Windows Servers (i.e. AD), Linux Servers, Email and Celebration Solution), Configuration, Monitoring and Troubleshooting
∎ Azure, AWS and GCP
∎ Minimize the repetitive issues by analyzing the past data and take initiative to implement process and procedure
∎ Monitoring, reporting, and maintaining Computer Systems and Server Systems Monitoring using the Monitoring Tools (i.e. Microsoft System Center, ME OP Manager, ME App Manager, PRTG, Nagios)
∎ Participate in cross-functional projects and tasks.
∎ Ensure timely and accurate delivery of services
∎ Lead the Inventory Management (Hardware, Software, Licensing)
∎ Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
∎ Perform risk management to minimize system and service risks and failures
∎ Service administration and Vendor management including the third-party services and applications
