Educational Requirements:
∎ B. Sc/ M. Sc in Sustainability, Environmental Science or a related field/ is preferable.
Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Developing and leading the implementation of sustainability strategies, policies, and taking initiatives for the ready-made garments and laundry industry, as demands;
∎ 2. Conducting research and analysis of the industry's environmental impact and identifying opportunities for improvement;
∎ 3. Leading efforts to identify and implement sustainable production practices, including reducing waste, increasing energy efficiency, and minimizing water usage;
∎ 4. Building strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain;
∎ 5. Overseeing and reporting on the company's sustainability performance, including tracking progress toward sustainability goals and identifying areas for improvement;
∎ 6. Developing and delivering sustainability training programs for employees and stakeholders;
∎ 7. Engaging with customers, industry organizations, and government agencies to promote sustainable garment production and consumption;
∎ 8. Work with a vision to maintain Input, process and Output control on the entire process in chemical management, raw materials management, life cycle assessment;
∎ 9. Provide advisory service on chemical hazard and risk assessment, alternative chemistry, resources efficiency etc.;
∎ 10. Identify good practices / activities carried out by other Supply chain & Stakeholders and evaluate the possibility of replication / scaling up;
∎ 11. Report to Management with monthly meeting & Business updates.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 32 years
∎ Required qualifications/experience:
∎ 10+ years’ experience. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sustainability or environmental management, preferably in the garment and laundry industry.
∎ Required key skills (functional/technical):
∎ 1. Strong understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and frameworks, including life cycle assessment, circular economy, and sustainable production;
∎ 2. Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions to sustainability challenges;
∎ 3. Strong communication skills (Both in Bangla & English), with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels;
∎ 4. Knowledge of relevant sustainability regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition's Higg Index;
∎ 5. Experience in project management, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities;
∎ 6. Knowledge of sustainable textile and laundry technologies and practices, including dyeing, printing, finishing, and washing;
∎ 7. Familiarity with sustainable certifications, such as the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), and experience in obtaining and maintaining such certifications;
∎ 8. Experience in leading cross-functional sustainability teams and collaborating with senior leaders to develop and execute sustainability strategies;
∎ 9. Basic knowledge on Oracle/ERP.
∎ Reporting: Chief Operation Officer (COO) of the Group or to the Head of HR, Compliance & Admin of C unit.
