Job responsibilities:

• Procurement and Vendor Management: Source and procure raw materials, components, and packaging materials required for production.Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability, and maintain good relationships with them.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability for production while minimizing excess inventory.Implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Production Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with production team to develop production plans and schedules based on customer demand forecasts and available resources.Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely availability of materials and resources for production activities.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines.
• Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.Ensure efficient movement of goods from suppliers to manufacturing facilities and from manufacturing facilities to customers.Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Quality Control and Compliance: Implement quality control measures throughout the supply chain to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Conduct inspections and audits of incoming materials, production processes, and finished products to maintain quality consistency.Address any quality issues or non-compliance issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, inventory levels, production schedules, and logistics activities.Generate regular reports on key supply chain metrics, such as inventory turnover, on-time delivery performance, and supplier performance.Analyze data and provide insights to management for decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Context:

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight production schedules and deadlines.
• Interacts with various internal departments (production, quality control, finance) as well as external stakeholders (suppliers, logistics providers, customers).
• Requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Involves occasional travel for supplier visits, trade shows, or customer meetings.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to supply chain management and international trade.
