Responsibilities & Context:
Supervise and manage housekeeping/hygiene helper teams in assigned areas.
Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and disinfection of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and other hospital areas.
Prepare and implement daily/weekly cleaning schedules.
Monitor housekeeping staff attendance, duty rosters, and leave management.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
Provide training and guidance to hygiene helpers on cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and infection control.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and cleaning materials.
Report and coordinate with maintenance for repair needs (plumbing, electrical, fixtures, etc.).
Maintain stock and inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
Enforce compliance with hospital safety, health, and infection control policies.
Prepare reports on housekeeping performance and submit to the Facility/Operations Manager.
Handle patient/visitor complaints regarding hygiene and resolve issues promptly.
Motivate and counsel staff to improve productivity and discipline.
Support hospital administration in audits and inspections related to cleanliness and hygiene.
