• Essential: Masters in Epidemiology, Social Science, Public Health or related subject with extensive training in statistics and epidemiology
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in conducting Health Related Research.
• Desirable: Experience in Qualitative Research

• Desirable: Understanding of Rohingya language
The study coordinator will collaborate with the study teams in Kutupalong and Balukhali projects in the preparation, implementation, and documentation of focus group discussions at both the locations.
S/he will contribute to all planning and co-ordination activities and closely support the study teams in smoothly planning logistics and executing group discussions and other study related activities.
Pre-Data collection/ Preparation of study:
• Co-ordinate with supervisors and managers to disseminate information about the study and the awareness sessions in advance at both Kutupalong and Balukhali sites
• Provide hands-on support in implementing awareness sessions with staff, supervisors and managers
• Inform participants about the upcoming FGD schedule
• Coordinate with support teams for procuring study related materials
During data collection:
• Prepare focus group session rooms (booking rooms, setting up chairs, printing forms, etc.)
• Coordinate with participants and ensure sessions are initiated/completed in a timely manner
• Support PI and Balukhali focal point for conducting daily check-in / debriefs and conduct in person data quality checks, sending daily reports to the PIs during the data collection, identifying any challenges and being the focal point person for the data collection team.
• Adapt fieldwork plans as needed based on real-time feedback (weather, access issues, participant response).
• Serve as the bridge between the field and the central study team through regular updates and check in meetings
• Write and submit regular field reports that includes progress, challenges, incidents (twice a week before data collection and daily debriefs during data collection)
• Observe/monitoring some FGDs to facilitate correct probing and prompting and ensure high quality of collected data
After data collection
• Ensure all materials (audio recorders, consent forms, data backups) are collected, safely stored and charged every day for use.
• Responsible for uploading audio recordings for further translation and transcriptions
• Participate in debriefing sessions and contribute to lessons learned. Draft a summary of the lessons learnt and overall process at the end of the data collection process.
This position will be contracted under a Consultancy Agreement for an initial period of 1 month, with the possibility of extension if required.
The total consultancy fee for the one-month period is BDT 183,300 (before applicable income tax).
Please note that this is a consultancy-based engagement and not a contract of employment. As such, no additional employment benefits (e.g., annual leave, medical insurance, etc.) will be provided.
