Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret 2D/3D structural drawings (AutoCAD/Tekla) to plan fabrication workflows.

• Supervise daily workshop or site operations, including metal cutting, bending, fit-up, and welding processes.

• Prepare accurate material take-offs and Bill of Materials (BOM) to minimize wastage.

• Ensure strict quality control (QC), checking dimensions, alignment, and welding quality against engineering standards.

• Manage and guide the team of fabricators, welders, and technicians to meet project deadlines.

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing workplace safety guidelines and PPE usage.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from any recognized institution.

Experience & Skill Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of practical experience in Steel Fabrication, Heavy Structural Steel, or Metal Manufacturing industries.

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings; basic knowledge of AutoCAD is highly preferred.

• Strong leadership skills to handle site workers and fabricators.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
