Job Responsibilities:
∎ Follow-up order independently from development to shipment with highest level of accuracy..
∎ Follow up production as per approved T & A and attend PP meeting.
∎ Continuously update the knit fabrics, trims, washes and Stitch Library including technical data and price idea for easy reference.
∎ Monitor and coordinate with the Planning Manager to determine/fix delivery schedule (date) and sequence of implementing all order in the lines.
∎ Preparation and accomplishment of the merchandising cycle (File / Record keeping / Sampling / TNAs / QA file making / Production follow ups / Shipment booking).
∎ Communicate with suppliers for: raw materials, booking and delivery.
∎ Maintain Fabric, Accessories booking and in-house on time.
∎ Co-ordinate with production team in order to ensure on time shipment and ensures merchandisers are updating order status to buyer.
∎ Liaison with Commercial Manager about shipping documents, undertaking all formalities (sending shipping sample, etc.) and update buyer.
∎ Sources required Trims, accessories, fabric sourcing (overseas and local) and develop a reliable & cost effective sourcing network..
∎ Ensure buying office merchandisers receive right sample with in the right time with right quality.
∎ Mitigate issues (order quantities, change of shipment date, complaints and claims) raised by the buyer(s)/ buying office(s).
∎ Be informed about all final inspection and give support where necessary.
∎ To co-ordinate with buyers Q.C.
∎ In case of any shortage and delayed in-house of any accessories, should talk to central merchandising as well as factory Management in this regard to get it solved ahead of production.
∎ Communicate with customers/Buyer from sampling to shipment and update everyday accordingly.
∎ Follow up with planning/production/commercial team & ensure shipment on time.
∎ Work closely with QA to ensure best final product. Have to take care of all aspects of quality from initial to final stage of the production.
∎ To ensure on time shipment as per buyer's quality standard
∎ Any other task assigned by Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply.
∎ At least 5 years of experience as a "Sr. Merchandiser "in a Knit Garments factory.
∎ Need to have sound knowledge on consumption (fabric, trims and accessories).
∎ Need to have sound knowledge to make effective costing (all components of product costing from all perspectives).
∎ Need to have strong negotiation skills to deal with costing and claims.
∎ Must be able to independently manage Knit product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns and develop customer specific collections.
∎ Be able to set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
