- Additional training in Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Cost Management will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context:
Sr. Manager / Assistant General Manager (Cost & Budget) plays a strategic role in managing the company’s cost structure, financial planning, and budgetary control. The position ensures optimal resource utilization, cost efficiency, and financial discipline while supporting management in decision-making through accurate cost analysis and budget forecasting.
Cost Management & Control
- Develop and implement cost control systems, procedures, and strategies to ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, identify inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure cost allocation is accurate and aligned with company policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans in coordination with relevant departments.
- Monitor budget performance and provide periodic variance analysis against actual results.
- Support management with scenario planning and financial modelling for decision-making.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Provide detailed cost and budget reports to senior management on a regular basis.
- Analyze cost trends, margins, and profitability to support strategic initiatives.
- Prepare presentations and dashboards highlighting key financial insights.
Strategic Planning Support
- Work closely with management to align budgetary and cost strategies with business objectives.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, investment appraisals, and project evaluations.
- Support pricing strategy through accurate costing and profitability analysis.
Internal Control & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors (internal and external) regarding cost and budget matters.
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial activities.
