Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain fire detection & protection system as required in accordance with Nirapon and RSC standards.
∎ Set up and follow up firefighting equipment as per the customer' Bangladesh Labour law/rules and BNBC.
∎ Ensure 90 days monitoring system of Nirapon and keep uploading the report to their given platform. Ensure the records at the factory end are maintained in accordance with Nirapon protocol.
∎ Monitor and ensure that the fire hydrant, sprinkler & fire pumps, and fire doors are adequate and are working properly at all times.
∎ Daily walk round/ floor visits & ensure firefighting equipment and follow up the daily checklist activities of the firefighting team.
∎ Set up an in-house strong firefighting and rescue team in all the departments. Conduct In-house fire training for Firefighters (with emphasis on hydrant operator location-wise), Rescuers, new and old employees, and security personnel both day & night).
∎ Ensure firefighting training/evacuation drills in the presence of the Fire Service & Civil Defense authority at least twice a year and get the certificate from them.
∎ Conduct monthly/ fortnightly Fire & Emergency evacuation drills as per the program to aware all workers & staff. Maintain & ensure safety in all production areas and make sure a free & un-blocked evacuation for all employees through all routes of egress.
∎ Identify probable fire hazard areas and take preventive measures on an urgent basis. Develop and update the security system to maintain a safe work environment in the factory.
∎ Periodically review all safety standards, policies, reports & documents related to fire safety issues including fire evacuation plans and procedures. The evacuation plan must be updated and posted in all applicable areas.
∎ Ensure safety compliance with company policies and industry regulations to satisfy all customer's audits.
∎ Arrange and conduct various security-related training for the development of Security.
∎ Keep all required fire safety equipment in all applicable areas especially "Fire Suit" at least 2 per floor. Arrange to procure; if not in-house.
