Responsibilities & Context:
· Source woven and knit fabrics from local and international suppliers.
· Develop fabrics according to buyer specifications, quality standards, and price targets.
· Coordinate fabric sampling, lab dips, handlooms, strike-offs, and approvals.
· Negotiate prices, lead times, and delivery schedules with fabric mills and suppliers.
· Monitor fabric production from development through bulk delivery.
· Follow up on testing, inspection, and quality compliance requirements.
· Maintain accurate merchandising records, costing sheets, and order status reports.
· Coordinate with production, planning, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order execution.
· Resolve fabric-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and technical challenges.
· Track inventory, fabric consumption, and shipment schedules.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and buyers.
