Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead and manage all Industrial Engineering (IE) activities to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance in the woven garments factory.

  • Conduct time study, motion study, work study, and method study to establish accurate SMV/SAM.

  • Prepare line layouts, line balancing, manpower allocation, and machine planning according to production requirements.

  • Monitor line efficiency, operator performance, WIP, and production flow to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Merchandising, and HR teams for smooth production execution.

  • Support merchandising and costing teams with operation breakdown, feasibility analysis, and labor costing.

  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.

  • Apply lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement tools to optimize factory operations.

  • Analyze production data and prepare IE reports, efficiency reports, and KPI performance summaries for management review.

  • Ensure effective capacity planning and resource utilization to achieve production targets and shipment schedules.

  • Train, guide, and supervise IE officers, supervisors, and production staff on IE tools and productivity improvement methods.

  • Ensure compliance with factory policies, buyer requirements, workplace safety, and ergonomic standards.

  • Support management in achieving operational excellence, cost reduction, and continuous business improvement objectives.
