Job Context:
∎ Division/Department: Freight Forwarding (Sales)
∎ Identify, drive and execute Sales/ business development for QNS Group. S/He is accountable for working across functional organizational lines and geographies in the expansion of targeted and existing customers to achieve/increase target revenue/growth over the long run.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Visit and follow up with clients based on market potential who have regular import from round the world and make sufficient target calls per day.
∎ Weekly visit plan based on lane, commodity, and area
∎ Joint sales call with supervisor, management, and respective operational team when it required for MNC or VIP client. Develop new agent.
∎ Minimize complaints from the customer with the proper follow up and engaging our key operational team to maintain the proper and error free service.
∎ Establish strong relationship with clients/agents (both Local & Overseas).
∎ Feasibility study - market, competitor's activity and based on that making own strategy.
∎ Send daily and weekly sales report (including call reports+ business gain/loss/ revenue) to immediate supervisor
∎ Focus trade lanes based on market potential and develop new agent.
∎ Share history of the lost business opportunity, enquiry received from the customer and reasons behind losing the opportunity.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3-4 years of work experience within shipping logistics company or similar industries
∎ International Ocean/Air Import experience in the freight forwarding industry.
∎ Maintaining external and internal customer relationships
∎ Good communication skills, especially when delivering information to customers and team members.
∎ Keeps up-to-date of current developments
