∎ We are looking for some experienced and innovative Designer who will lead the full apparel design lifecycle from market research and trend analysis to sample development and bulk production support. The ideal candidate must have strong aesthetic sensibility, in-depth knowledge of woven and formalwear garment construction (bottoms, tops, blazers, etc.), and proficiency in industry-standard fashion-specific design software. This position requires close collaboration with merchandising, sample, sourcing, and production teams to ensure commercially viable, trend-forward products that align with international buyer expectations. The role involves developing and executing seasonal collections based on global fashion trends, buyer briefs, and seasonal directions. Responsibilities include creating mood boards, concept sheets, design inspirations, and color palettes aligned with fashion forecasts; preparing detailed tech packs with CAD sketches, stitching guidelines, fabric and trim specifications, and measurement charts; and overseeing sample development to ensure fit approvals and necessary revisions for finalization. The designer will also support fabric and trim selection in coordination with sourcing teams and conduct regular market, retail, and competitor analysis to ensure innovation and uniqueness in product lines. This role requires translating buyer briefs into cost-effective and production-friendly designs while ensuring aesthetic excellence, product functionality, and international quality standards. The candidate will provide technical input during bulk production, solve design-related challenges, and participate in buyer meetings and virtual presentations. Maintaining organized archives of design files, lab dips, fit comments, and approvals is essential. At the senior level, the candidate will lead and mentor junior designers and design assistants, offering creative direction and technical guidance. They will drive innovation in fabric usage, garment construction, and sustainable design practices. Collaboration with R&D and product development teams to explore new silhouettes and finishes suitable for woven/formalwear is expected. The designer will also present seasonal line plans to management and buyers, ensuring product alignment with market trends and commercial goals, and coordinate with branding, packaging, and marketing teams to maintain consistent product identity. This is a high-impact role requiring creativity, technical excellence, leadership, and a strong understanding of woven/formalwear fashion for global markets, backed by advanced software skills and digital fluency.
