Additional Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
  • Responsible for filing VAT and tax compliance reports in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Responsible for liaison and communication with Government Regulatory bodies Divisional Circle offices and report to management on a regular basis on strategic issues.

  • Responsible for establishing the organization`s SOP for direct and indirect taxes.

  • In charge of collecting significant SROs, general instructions/orders, and circulars to ensure regulatory compliance in the area of VAT and tax.

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks as well as review the Audited Financial Statements in the light of ITO, 1984 with a view to reduce the disallowances.

  • Review & submit of relevant return under u/s 75A and 108 & 108A of ITO 1984Review and submit the VAT return (Mushak 9.1) and related schedule on a monthly basis.

  • Maintain all VAT-related registers in accordance with the new VAT and SD Act 2012 and Rule 2016; these records must also be kept in NBR-approved VAT software and MS-Excel.

  • Monthly VAT & Rebate reconciliation with operation software vs. VAT software.Should have sound knowledge and experience on VAT Online Should have sound knowledge on tax and VAT exemption areas and regulatory practice.

  • Ensure the Instalments of advance tax u/s 66 of ITO 1984.Experience in VAT and Tax Audit, Hearing, Post Clearance Audit, Appellate and tribunal etc.

  • Coordinate the process of tax and VAT deduction and certificates issuance against supplier payments.

  • Coordinate VAT & Tax activities of Head office, branch operation and other Stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with admin and procurement departments to ensure tax and VAT compliance during the supplier contracting/agreement process.

  • Should have working experience in preparing yearly income Tax and for both the individual and companies.
