Experience:

Job Purpose
The Specialist will plan and execute safeguarding communication and knowledge management initiatives across BRAC, including developing IEC/BCC materials and awareness campaigns. This role also involves building strong engagement on safeguarding issues, promoting accountability and protection, and ensuring alignment BRAC’s communication strategy and safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and lead safeguarding awareness campaigns digitally and across the field locations through BRAC’s communication channels.
Develop Information, Education and Communication (IEC) / Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) materials for staff, volunteers, participants, and communities.
Prepare and disseminate annual and periodic reports on safeguarding and, implement the annual communication plans accordingly.
Monitor and evaluate the use and effectiveness of communication materials by conducting field visits and follow ups.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of safeguarding communication activities, including reports, meeting notes, risk assessments, and follow-up sessions.
Ensure all safeguarding communication activities follow BRAC’s guidelines and communication framework.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
