• At least 4 to 8 years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, or import/export operations

• Proven experience in foreign sourcing and direct deal-making with factories/suppliers in China, Thailand, Korea, or similar countries

• Experience in Trading, Import/Export, E-commerce, or Consumer Products business is preferred

• Strong knowledge of LC (Letter of Credit), VAT, tax, and import documentation processes

• Practical experience in foreign and local product purchasing and price negotiation

• Experience in Beauty & Personal Care, Imported/Foreign Goods, Fashion, Food & FMCG, or Gadgets/Consumer Electronics categories will be strongly preferred

• Willingness to travel abroad for supplier/factory visits when required

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to compare pricing, quality, and supplier reliability

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously

• Comfortable communicating with international suppliers and business partners

• Must be honest, transparent, and free from any conflict of interest in supplier selection and price negotiation

• Strong sense of integrity and accountability in handling company funds, vendor payments, and pricing decisions

Job Context

Prodhan.com and Dotara.bd, growing e-commerce platforms under our group, are expanding across Beauty & Personal Care, Imported/Foreign Products, Fashion, Food & FMCG, and Gadgets/Consumer Electronics categories.

We are looking for an experienced Foreign Sourcing & Procurement Specialist who can independently source products locally and internationally at the best possible price, negotiate and finalize deals directly with foreign factories and suppliers, and manage the complete import process — from deal-making to LC, VAT, tax, and product clearance — to ensure our platforms stay competitive on price and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Research new products, suppliers, manufacturers, and market opportunities

• Source and negotiate deals directly with foreign factories and manufacturers, primarily in China, Thailand, Korea, and other relevant countries

• Identify, evaluate, and finalize local and foreign suppliers to secure the best price, quality, and delivery terms

• Manage the end-to-end import process, including LC (Letter of Credit) opening and documentation, VAT, tax, and customs-related matters

• Coordinate product carrying, shipping, and clearance processes to ensure smooth and timely delivery of imported goods

• Conduct market research and price benchmarking across Beauty & Personal Care, Imported/Foreign Products, Fashion, Food & FMCG, and Gadgets/Consumer Electronics categories

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with foreign factories and suppliers through direct communication and, when required, factory visits

• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding products, specifications, pricing, MOQ, certifications, packaging, and production.

• Ensure product authenticity, quality standards, and compliance with import regulations

• Coordinate with the Finance and Operations teams for smooth documentation, payment, and delivery cycles

• Follow up with suppliers regarding samples, production, quality, documentation, and delivery schedules

• Track and report on sourcing costs, supplier performance, and import timelines to management

• Assist with product development, private-label products, packaging, and manufacturing coordination

• Communicate professionally with international business partners and assist with day-to-day business activities
