Job Summary:

The Solar Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires technical expertise in solar energy systems, a strong understanding of electrical principles, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Solar Technician will ensure all installations are completed to the highest standards, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install solar panels, inverters, and other system components on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

• Perform electrical wiring and connection of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.

• Mount and secure solar panels on rooftops, ground mounts, or other structures.

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with solar PV systems, including inverters, wiring, and panels.

• Perform necessary repairs or replacements of defective components.

• Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation and performance of solar PV systems.

• Use testing equipment to measure system performance and identify potential issues.

• Document test results and provide reports to the immediate supervisor.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

• Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear as required.

• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
