Job Responsibilities:
∎ Write code to create automated scripts for executing regression repetitively
∎ Work closely with Dev team in understanding code coverage and organize automated test suite to be consistent with unit test suite
∎ Develop deep understanding of the client's application including all technologies, data models, application functionality, and development process
∎ Be up to date on iteration activities, keep future iteration plans in radar to create automation plans and execute those
∎ Work with onshore and offshore QA teams in debugging test results
∎ Identify areas not only to automate, but also recommend areas for manual testing
∎ Integrate automated tests to cross browser testing tools
∎ Schedule execution of test scripts of a nightly basis and generate reports
∎ Thrive in a small team / Agile development environment
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have work experience in core programming language like Java, Python, JavaScript or VBScript
∎ Skilled in using open source automation tools
∎ Good understanding of web application testing covering all the usual acronyms (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, AJAX, HTTP, AngularJS and JavaScript)
∎ A comprehensive understanding of RESTful/SOAP services.
∎ Database experience with Postgres, MySQL preferred
∎ Have used source control systems like Git.
∎ Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
