Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kallayan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. SKUS has since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx worked in Cox`s Bazar district with children adolescents, women, and men. Based on children`s, adolescents`, women, and human rights. SKUS has established quality learning and protection centers with support from different international donors, including UN agencies. SKUS has an agreement with MdM-F for the project of MHPSS/GBV/SRH services for the Rohingya and host community at Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila under Cox`s Bazar District. This program aims to ensure that crisis-affected populations have access to high-quality humanitarian services focusing on the promotion and increase accessibility of MHPSS/GBV/SRH concerns. The project will address MHPSS/GBV/SRG issues of the refugee and host community population currently residing in Rohingya Camp and nearby the camp areas in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila under Cox`s Bazar District. SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of a Social Worker for the project as mentioned above supported by MdM-F.
∎ Reportable to: Project Coordinator, SKUS.
∎ Duration of contract: 6 months Up to 31 December 2021 (with the possibility of extension).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop a service mapping and maintain coordination with govt., site management, focal points, other relevant actors, and stakeholders.
∎ Conduct community-level outreach activities like a home visit, community meetings, community orientations, community awareness-raising sessions in the catchment areas related to MHPSS, GBV,SRH, and also need-based issues.
∎ Identify people and communities in need of help, assess beneficiaries' needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals. Help beneficiaries adjust to changes and challenges in their lives, such as MHPSS, GBV and SRH related issues.
∎ Community mobilization established and maintain a good professional relationship with the community people, duty bearers, and other stakeholders.
∎ Participating in multidisciplinary teams, case conferences, working groups, and related workshops and training when required also weekly supervision and team meetings.
∎ Offering information, support, and advocacy to individuals, families, and community, including escorting them if necessary to relevant services;
∎ Support the provision of participatory, comprehensive, goal-based, and individualized/community-based support and guidance, as well as care planning through the joint development of a care plan that matches needs, resources, and goals to available assistance
∎ Maintains beneficiaries'/events/sessions records by reviewing feedback, events notes; logging events, and progress.
∎ To participate in the training, workshop, meeting provided by SKUS or other partner organizations.
∎ To perform other duties as may be needed, agreed and close collaboration with the project team

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 23 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in community outreach, and psychosocial support activities in emergencies or protection-related activities
∎ Previous experience in MHPSS in the Rohingya Response is highly desirable as well as sound knowledge of developing PSS activities and group facilitation skills
∎ A strong commitment to gender-sensitive, inclusive and humanitarian works
∎ Ability to work with the multi-disciplinary team
∎ Consultative, initiative and empowering working style and willingness to learn from others
∎ Working Condition:
∎ S/he will spend approximately 80% of his/her time in the field.
∎ S/he may have contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals.
∎ S/he has to work to ensure a conducive participatory approach in the center.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000 - 48000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary negotiable based on experience and qualification
