Job Context:
∎ East West Media Group Ltd. (EWMGL) is a large media house of Bangladesh. The organization is looking for highly proactive and skilled professionals of the post of Social Media Content Creator/Writer to join with our Video Content Team and enrich our channels, websites with new videos, blog posts, and guides.
∎ Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on current news related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publish on social media. If you’re familiar with producing online video, content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or your published video, articles, along with your application.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Research on news related topics (combining online sources, print and electronic news media, interviews and studies on social media)
∎ Prepare well-structured drafts for blog posts, videos
∎ Proofread and edit blog posts, videos before publication
∎ Submit work to editors for input and approval
∎ Coordinate with design teams to illustrate articles
∎ Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
∎ Promote content on social media
∎ Identify employers’ needs and gaps in content and recommend new topics
∎ Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
∎ Update website content as needed
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A Levels/ Graduate degree and at least 1-2 years of writing experience in print media or digital media will be an added advantage.
∎ A basic understanding of search engine optimization and digital platform.
∎ Portfolio of published articles/ blog posts/videos
∎ Experience doing research using multiple sources
∎ Excellent writing and editing skills in Bengali & English
Salary: Negotiable
