Job Context:
∎ Project title: Bangladesh Initiative to Enhance Nutrition Security and Governance (BieNGS) Project, funded by European Union.
∎ Project Locations: Jamalpur & Sherpur.
∎ SBCC Specialist is the lead person for the Social and Behaviour Change Communications Intervention of the project.
∎ Considering SBCC is an overarching and cross thematic intervention, the SBCC Specialist will provide overall technical leadership for incorporation of SBCC approach to both nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific intervention of the project with particular reference to develop training modules and communication, learning and dissemination material of the project to enhance MNCH outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead SBCC Interventions at the project level.
∎ Provide guidance and technical expertise to design a comprehensive SBCC strategy for the project to ensure an enabling environment for households to improve nutrition practices e.g. IYCF and Hygiene bahaviour of caregivers of under 5 children, as well as translate livelihood outcomes and income improvements into better nutritional practices for mothers and young children that ultimately contribute to a reduction in malnutrition in children under 5 years.
∎ Develop SBCC strategy and implement along with high level of interpersonal and communication skills to perform in team of professionals.
∎ Design a comprehensive SBCC strategy to achieve project objective, strategies and interventions.
∎ Provide technical leadership to implement the SBCC Strategy of the project.
∎ Design and develop SBCC materials for health and nutrition communication and align nutrition sensitive module with SBCC principles
∎ Capacity building of Staff/volunteers including Partners and multi-sector actors including relevant GOB Department staff on SBCC strategies and practices.
∎ Build a strong positive relations with Project Management Office (PMO) teams, Regional and National Office and regional technical specialists.
∎ Ensure that best practices and learning in technical area are well documented and shared appropriately.
∎ Ensure program quality implementation and/or management issues are resolved quickly and fully with little disruption.
∎ Represent the organization in different international and national forums.
∎ Work closely with WASH and Nutrition Specialists at the World Vision National and Regional Offices as well as with the technical specialist team within BieNGS Project.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Have experience in designing and implementing program interventions; in communications or SBCC area.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, leadership skills, facilitation and documentation skills and experience in managing teams.
∎ Experience with social marketing, strategic communications, or behavior change communications.
∎ Preferably including experience with polling and consumer surveying techniques, quantitative and qualitative survey methods.
∎ Preferably including experience with the use of mass media and social networks to influence and gain public support, the negotiation and formation of alliances across interest groups.
∎ Strong writing and oral communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Demonstrated successful experience implementing grant-funded programs.
∎ Field-based international NGO work experience in SBCC project or program leadership.
∎ Formative research experience.
∎ Strong English communication skills, particularly advanced writing skills, report writing skills for a variety of stakeholders.
∎ Strong organizational skills.
∎ Proven experience as a team player.
∎ Demonstrated collaboration & team building skills.
∎ Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∎ Experienced in communications/ documentation/ public relations/ media or similar responsibilities.
∎ Experienced with Non Profit international organization.
∎ Cross cultural experience.
∎ 50% travel is expected.
