Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidates must have Diploma in Live Stock with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division or equivalent result
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to veterinary surgeon for preparing breed wise annual calf production plan and budget
∎ Ensure daily washing, cleaning, animal feeding, and disinfectant spraying in the animal shed
∎ Control fly and mosquito by spraying of animal safe insecticides
∎ Assist in animal heat synchronization and heat detection of mother cow, perform Artificial Insemination, pregnancy detection and keeping breeding related all records in the prescribed register
∎ Ensure routine checkup of advanced pregnant cows, safe calf delivery and dystocia correction and calf feeding, calf health care and post parturient cow, lactating cow and dry cow management with consultation of VS
∎ Assist to diagnose disease, treatment and medication of breeding animals
∎ Ensure hygienic milking of lactating cow, record keeping of daily milk production and update of daily milk production register
∎ Perform routine health checkup and vaccination, deworming, medication for breeding animals and maintain strong biosecurity of animal sheds as well as bull station with the consultation of VS
∎ Update of health and treatment register accordingly
∎ Supervise all relevant daily activities of animal attendants /worker and follow up and monitor their daily activities
∎ Prepare report, perform analysis and share it to the respective supervisors
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Perform any other task as assigned by the respective authority
∎ Job Location: BRAC Bull and breeding station, Sherpur, Bogura
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 35 years
∎ Age and education may be relaxed in case of potential candidates
∎ Experience in animal sector will be given preference
∎ Must have knowledge in animal food and nutrition
∎ Must have knowledge in safety, hygiene and cleanliness of the shed
∎ Must have knowledge about productive bull preparations
∎ Must have knowledge in emerging disease outbreak and control
∎ Must have knowledge in managing calf delivery at off pick hour (night time)
∎ Must have knowledge in dystocia and calf mortality
∎ Able to work in a team and under pressure
∎ Have the skill of effective communication and multitasking
